Time 2 Move Holidays Activities and Food Programme - Information and Resources for Providers

The activities and support you offer will have a significant impact on encouraging children to be physically active, eat a healthy diet and most importantly allow them to have fun with both new and old friends.

This fantastic website, helpfully broken up into different age ranges, is full to the brim with free resources for teaching young people aged 3-16 years about where food comes from, cooking and healthy eating.

Safeguarding
This workshop will raise your awareness of the tell-tale signs of abuse, and give you the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively, appropriately and effectively should the need ever arise in your provision.

Managing Challenging Behaviour
The workshop explores how Doorstep Sport can be used as an engagement tool to address social exclusion, anti-social behaviour and community tension and build stronger communities. Participants learn the characteristics of ‘hard to reach’ young people and how to effectively engage with them. They are shown how to recognise the causes and triggers of anti-social behaviour and they explore the development of tools and skills that enable young people to take ownership of their issues and effectively manage challenging behaviour.

Emergency First Aid
This course will enabling candidates to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations and safely use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
