ThinkUKnow Resources and Training

Wednesday 12th June 2019

Children are accessing technology and the internet at a younger age than ever before. It’s never too early to talk to children about what they do online and who to tell if they come across anything online that makes them feel worried, scared or sad.

ThinkUKnow have developed a three-episode animated ‘Jessie & Friends’ series and resource pack for 4-7 year olds, to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to stay safe online with. There are also lesson plans, storybooks and activities to use in your setting, as well as advice for parents and carers on using Jessie & Friends to start a positive, age-appropriate online safety conversation with their child. Jessie & Friends has been awarded the PSHE Association Quality Mark.

At Healthy Cornwall we run FREE ThinkUKnow training for professionals who work directly with children and young people where we explore how you can support children and young people to stay safe online.

Alternatively, go to the ThinkUKnow website to access the resource.

Using this resource in your setting will help you to achieve your Emotional Health and Wellbeing sticker for the Healthy Under 5s programme.

N.B. the resource is a large file and will take about an hour to download.
