Relationships and Sex Education; Drug and Alcohol Education

The Governments' revised 'Guidance for Personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education' passed into law in April 2019. This requires that:

  • Primary schools deliver Healthy Relationships Education (with a strong recommendation that age- and stage-appropriate sex education will also be taught)
  • Secondary Schools deliver Healthy Relationships and Sex Education

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the  final date for schools to fully implement the guidance has been extended by government to Summer 2021.

Here at Healthy Schools, our face-to-face training offer is currently on hold, and we are working to re-design our future offer, so that it responds the changed priorities on which schools are currently focussed.

However, in the summer term 2020 we were delighted to launch our new Healthy Schools PSHE Curriculum for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The training and resources for this are free to all schools in CIoS, and are all available online here.
