Promote active travel and support staff to achieve it

How to achieve this:

Further Information:

Encourage, support and promote active travel to and from work:

  • Promote active travel maps to staff. These free maps can be downloaded for a variety of areas in Cornwall and show key locations and how to get to them on foot, by bike or by public transport. There's also further information about walking and cycling routes in the local area and a handy distance/time calculator.
  • Promote public e-bike hire schemes – could Beryl Bike minutes be supplied to staff members wishing to be more active?
  • Individuals can apply to Wheels 2 Work Electric, this is a subsidised hire programme delivering 3 month eBike loans to residents of Cornwall.
  • Look into salary sacrifice schemes for active travel options such as bikes
  • Are there bike shelters and bike security options available on site
  • Take part in Cornwall Active Travel Challenge
