Make your business a Safe Place for the vulnerable.
The Safe Places Scheme is a national scheme. Healthy Cornwall run the scheme and are supported by Devon and Cornwall Police. The scheme is designed to create a network of businesses committed to offering a safe place for adults with a learning disability, autistic or neurodiverse adults who may feel vulnerable while out in the community. For example, they may have been bullied, lost their purse or wallet, missed their bus or hurt themselves.
By joining the scheme, your business will become a designated ‘Safe Place’. This means that if an adult with a learning disability or an autistic or neurodiverse adult feels unsafe, scared or lost they can enter your premises and seek help from a member of staff.
To display our ‘Safe Places’ sticker to easily be seen in a window or door.

Your business will also be visible on the free Safe Places App so users can quickly locate a Safe Place in a time of need. By becoming a Safe Place, your business plays a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive community. We look forward to welcoming you to become a Safe Space.
