Local Support Offer

We offer a range of stop smoking support services for groups and individuals alike:

One to one support

Smokers that get help from a stop smoking service are up to three times more likely to quit successfully than those who try to quit using willpower alone.

We currently offer a 12‑week programme led by experienced advisors who use a variety of evidence‑based approaches to support your quit attempt. Throughout your journey, our trained team will provide clear, reliable guidance and can also facilitate access to different treatment options, including:

- Traditional nicotine replacement treatments (e.g. patches, gum, lozenges, inhalators etc)

- Certain prescribed stop smoking oral medications (e.g. Varenicline, Cytisine, Zyban) *dependent on GP

- Vape starter kit and liquids – though vaping is not risk free, it is proven to be much less harmful than smoking and therefore is a useful alternative for someone looking to quit smoking.

We can offer support via:

Text Support:

Our advisors can support you through text messages; whether it's checking up on how you're getting on, arranging prescriptions or answering any queries you may have.

Please note that during particularly busy periods, wait times may be longer than usual to speak to a stop smoking advisor. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.

For anyone currently vaping, we unfortunately cannot provide access to treatments or ongoing support at this time. If you are wanting to quit vaping, please find more information and advice on the Better Health NHS pages. If you are still needing to speak to someone, one of our stop smoking advisors are only able to provide very brief advice on a one off basis.
