Healthy Cornwall Free Summer Sessions

Make the most of summer with our variety of free sessions for families, designed to help you and your loved ones stay active, healthy and connected throughout the holidays.

Alongside the wide range of activities and support available all year round (find information on our What’s On page), we’re offering an exciting programme of additional summer sessions for families across Cornwall. Whether you’re looking to try something new, get active together or pick up tips for healthier living, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, completely free of charge.

Family Rockpool Safari Sessions

Get outdoors this summer with our free family rock-pooling events, giving children the chance to explore, discover, and enjoy hands-on coastal adventures.

Sessions will be taking place at the following locations throughout the summer: 

Castle Beach, Falmouth

Please note this is a family event, we are asking all guardians to stay throughout the session.

Crafternoons

Come let your little ones get creative with a range of fun arts and crafts activities at our FREE Crafternoon sessions.

Perfect for primary school-aged children, these free sessions are a great chance to try something new, make colourful creations and enjoy a creative afternoon together.

Please note: This is a family event and parents/guardians are asked to stay throughout the session.

Children’s Activity Clubs

Enjoy arts & crafts, games & play activities, basic cooking sessions, and a FREE lunch provided at every session.

These fun and inclusive sessions are designed for primary school aged children.

Summer Functional Fitness Bootcamp for 13–16yrs

Join our FREE outdoor bootcamp and learn how to get fit using body weight, local outdoor spaces, and simple exercises that can be repeated anywhere, anytime – with little to no equipment needed.

Location: Poltair Park, St Austell

Little Explorers Garden Walks (supported by The National Trust)

Join us for our free family walks in partnership with the National Trust. These relaxed family sessions are a great opportunity to explore the beautiful gardens, enjoy quality time together outdoors and connect with other local families. You'll also have the chance to chat with your local Health Improvement Practitioner, who can offer friendly advice and support on family health and wellbeing.

Summer Storytime Session for Under 5's

Families with children aged 0 to 5 years are invited to join us for a fun-filled Summer Story Session celebrating the Extraordinary Explorers Reading Challenge.

Come along to enjoy engaging stories, take part in exciting activities and make new friends along the way. There’ll also be a delicious, healthy snack for everyone to enjoy, making it a perfect opportunity for little explorers and their grown-ups to learn, play and discover together.
