Mental Health Safety Plans
A Mental Health Safety Plan is a preventative tool designed to help support those who struggle with mental wellbeing. It may be difficult to think clearly when you’re feeling really low, or feel incredibly overwhelmed, and it may be difficult to ignore these feelings. Safety plans are best created when not in crisis.
By having a safety plan, you’re making sure that there are strategies you can use to keep yourself safe and can help you feel more in control when everything feels out of control. Think of your safety plan as your ‘mental health first-aid kit’; it includes different things that will help you through a crisis.
SilverCloud is an online cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) programme which allows you to complete therapy in your own time and at your own pace.
It offers secure and immediate access to a range of mental health and wellbeing programmes which you work through, using your computer, tablet or mobile phone. The tried and tested modules within each programme consist of a range of interactive tools, activities and videos to help you identify and challenge negative thought and behavioural patterns
Access is open to anyone aged 16 or over who feels that participating in online cognitive behavioural therapy will help them improve and take control of their mental health
This free, online self-directed training has been designed to help working people with their own wellbeing. It also gives them the confidence and skills to help colleagues and create a more supportive workplace.
The training package includes three modules covering psychological first aid, mental health and trauma awareness.
Every Mind Matters
Every Mind Matters offers a range of useful resources that can help you spot the signs of common mental health concerns. It provides practical self-care tips, guidance and advice, and explains when to seek further support.
The Every Mind Matters planning tool is especially useful and can help you to build an action plan to deal with stress and anxiety, boost your mood, improve your sleep and help you feel more in control.
